God’s plan for our lives

The Bible is different from all other religious books. Other religions mostly have to do with keeping certain rituals and practices.

The Bible goes further and has an element of prophecy. God has a divine plan for ages. Part of our lives is not just to please Him by our our righteous ways, but it’s also to fulfill His plan by doing what He wants.

We are called to live with a purpose in our righteous living.

What is God’s purpose in my life? What has He called me to do?

Begin to pursue your call in God.

Everyone has a general call to live a right and righteous life. Having victory in your Christian life seeking more and more to be like Jesus.

Genesis 1. 26-31
God created man to be king/ruler over the earth. Man was to bear God’s image and be like God.
We were all made in perfect form.

Everything that God made was very beautiful.

Gen 2- God has made man and woman and now they are in their perfect state.

Gen 3- Sin comes to the world and man looses the image and likeness of God.

The rest of the Bible is all about God seeking to restore man. The restoration continues to this very day.

Heb 1.3
Christ was the express image of the person of God. When Christ comes into you and you allow Him full control over your life, you also reflect the image of God.

It is Christ who changes us, we do not change ourselves. We leave everything to Him.

We become born again because to be saved we have to be born of God.

1 Peter 2.1
In the same way that a human baby bears the image of man, a child of God bears the image of God.

Growth
When we get born again, it is important that we grow in the things of God and don’t just remain children.

God expects us to Grow just like children grow gradually to adulthood.

The Christian life is a journey.
God already knows what He has planned for you. Begin to seek for it and to know that God has a purpose for your life.

You can mark-time in your life if you are not careful. You can be involved in many Christian activities without growing spiritually.

2 Tim 4.7
Ephesians 5.14-17

Redeem the time because the days are evil. It is easy to waste time in your Christian walk.

As a church, we need to know where we are in God’s plan.

The church is God’s secret. God takes sinners and cleans them in His church and makes them a new finished product ready to serve God.

You cannot serve the world if you are not a finished product.

We need to check ourselves to make sure that we are making progress in the kingdom of God because God has a plan for His church. we need to start pursuing God’s plan for the church.

We are supposed to be seeking God and then these other blessings can be added onto us but we are doing it the other way round by seeking the good things of life first.

Give God first priority and God will very gladly add the other good things into your life.

When you think of your problem as so big you start thinking of yourself as a grasshopper.

Even as church we need to be very careful about what we are hearing. What ministries we are subjecting ourselves to.

We have not arrived yet. It’s not yet time to settle down. The blessings we are enjoying now is just part of the BLESSING.

Numbers 32.1-5
Why settle where God has not promised to settle you?

Let’s pursue our destiny to the end. Don’t be content with something that looks nice.

We have a destiny in God as a ministry: Revival.
Don’t forget that our main call is to bring revival in this land.

The great gift is to be used as a tool in the hand of God to bring revival in the Land.

Peter was in time with prophecy. We need to live in light of prophecy.

Don’t give up now and don’t allow blessings to bar you from entering. Let’s pursue that which God wanted us accomplish as a ministry.
