Youth Ministry

Youth Aflame and Youth Families

The Youth Aflame has always been a key part of Chrisco Churches. The Youth Aflame operates in tandem with the overall mission and vision of the Joyful Assembly, with a special focus on young adults.

In early February 2020, Presbyter James G. Kiganjo called together a group of young people and introduced the idea of organizing and revitalizing the Youth Aflame into families. During that meeting, six families were established.

Each family consists of an average of 20 young people and is led by two mentors. These mentors are young people who have recently transitioned into marriage and have demonstrated a passion for serving God and mentoring young people. Within each family leadership team, deputy leaders are appointed and mentored to prepare them for future leadership roles.

Since its inception, the ministry has continued to grow. Two additional families have since been added, bringing the total number of Youth Aflame families to eight. This growth reflects the increasing number of young adults actively participating in the ministry and the continued commitment to discipleship, fellowship, leadership development, and spiritual growth.

The overall leadership of the Youth Aflame is steered by Samuel and Leah Kithuku, together with the Elder in Charge, James Kamau, and his wife, Purity Kamau.
