Life Continues Springing Forth

Introduction
An imperishable seed does not decay, deteriorate, or die. It lives forever, as do we who are born from it.
One of the miracles of nature is the butterfly. It goes through a process to change; from a caterpillar to a butterfly. It never replaces the caterpillar, it is still the same caterpillar but in a more developed and perfect form.
Likewise, in our lives when we are transformed by the Holy spirit after getting born again, we become what God intended us to be. We change from being sinners to being called His children.
To spring forth means to rise suddenly.
Habits Destroying Our Walk With God.
Some of the habits preventing us from becoming the people God intended us to be are as follows:
1. Laziness
In Mathew 25:21-28, a rich man gave talents to his servant but one servant never traded his talent.
The rich man referred to him as wicked and lazy.
Laziness contributed to that man not gaining from his talent
2. Old habits
We respond to God’s forgiveness when we let go of our old habits. In John 8:2-12, the woman who had committed adultery was forgiven because she was repentant and she was told not to sin again.
We should be willing to set aside our old habits for God is ready to forgive us.
3. Ignorance.
We must not simply act and appear to be Christians when we are not.
We must believe in Christ in order to be changed.
4. Being irresponsible
We should be careful not to miss out on the privileges of obedience.
In Luke 15:11-32, the prodigal son was irresponsible with his inheritance. From this, we learn that we must be responsible and not stay stuck in the habit of being irresponsible.
5. Discouragement.
To preserve in Christ we require prayers. In the current world, there is a lot of discouragement and only the Bible contains hope.
We should therefore invest in prayers and reading the Word.
6. Comparison
It is ungodly to Highlight our own virtues while pointing out the flaws of others. The Pharisees were like that. They thought they were better than the rest, as we see in Luke 18:11-13, which we should not.
7. Indifferences.
When we ignore the needs of others we fail to be Jesus’s example.
To be good examples we need to put the needs of others before ours like the good Samaritan did in Luke 10:30-36
8. Contempt.
When we reject Jesus’s authority, we have contempt and invite God’s judgment like we learn in Mark 12:9.
The tenant entrusted with a vineyard by the owner did not honour the agreement and therefore faced judgment.
Whenever we do not honour our agreement with God we show contempt.
Conclusion
God has the ability to take us from one level to another. When we devote ourselves to serving Him, He will never let us down.
In 2nd Kings 20:1-11
Hezekiah prayed to God, and He changed His mind about his life.
He reminded Him of his record of service to God, and He granted his request.
We can present ourselves to God and He will hear us if we invest in the right track record.
