Exodus 13:20- 22
The long awaited journey after 430yrs in slavery had started and Israelites were excited about leaving Egypt.
-After celebration even of the passover, the reality dawned upon the Israelites. And so this has been to us after the celebrations in December, there was excitement for the coming new year… And now the year 2025 is here and no turning back.
– The reality came for Israelites having to travel day and night with all their belongings, and as a result of man’s weakness and no strength to travel that long, then they definitely had to stretch beyond their ability.
– most amazing thing is that the Lord made a provision/intervention for their journey.
– we held an overnight and made great declarations for year 2025, but we are faced by human limitations and thus require a great intervention by God through His Holy Spirit.
– we therefore need to pray more to ask God to help us stretch beyond our capacity, and to overcome the frailty of the human body
. Human body frailty hinders effectiveness in prayer, causes us not to prolong our time in prayer.
– We need to pray for our bodies to be able to stretch beyond our capacity.
– it is by the divine strength from God that we are able to do much more
– The body can get old, tired sick but it is only by the grace of God.

1. The Israelites also faced Natural limitations like the Red Sea.

some times we face situations that we have no control over. You will find people who have issues with our physical looks like the skin color, which is beyond our control

Ex 14:15-16 to vs 24 Even with such limitations, there is a God who is able

we shall meet such barriers in the year but the power of God is able to neutralize them.

3. The Israelites faced the opposition of Egyptian armies. Ex 14: 10-19, 23-28. Pharaoh had chosen the best of best yet the Israelites had no knowledge of fighting such and so they saw death coming. The Lord fought for the Israelites even then.

As we go on we shall surely face realities of human limitations but our God through His hand we shall overcome, we shall face 2025 and all its challenges through the hand of God.
– we can not tell what the exact challenges that shall come our way but one thing we know is that God will give us the ability to overcome.

Prayer point:

Pray that we shall not be failed by our human limitations/weaknesses but trust that through the hand of God we shall face those limitations
