Shining God’s Word on Life’s Journey

Scripture :Psalm 119-105

Introduction

Psalm 119.105: _Your Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path. The world is full of darkness. Psalm 138.2. God has exalted His Word above His name.
Matthew 24.35. Jesus said, heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will not pass away. Nothing compares to the inspired Word of God.
Jer. 23:29 My Word is like fire, declares the Lord, or like a hammer that shutters rocks into pieces.

The Word of God comes from God Himself, and He makes sure it happens. Heb. 4:12 – The Word of God is powerful, active and penetrates even soul and spirit, bone and marrow. You need an assured word of God to take you through life’s journey.

1.The Education Journey.

In the journey of education there are many uncertainties. Sometimes students cheat because of the pressure of educational journeys. But you can shine your educational journey with the inspired word of God.

Deut. 28.13. The Lord will make you the the head and not the tail. When you shine the Word of God in the face of anything, the Word breaks the situation. His Word never fails.

2.The Marriage Journey

Marriages also face challenges between spouses, between children or even between parents and children. Psalm 127:1. Unless the Lord build the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over a city, the watchmen guards it in vain.

When tempted to take matters in our own hands, let’s remember that unless we involve the Lord, our labour will be in vain.

3. The Career, business and Investment Journey.

There is an outcry that there are no jobs. Businesses aren’t doing well. Things can be unstable. But when rooted in the word of God. Deut. 28:2 – All these blessings shall come to you if you obey my Word. God is not controlled by the world economy. He blessed Isaac in a year of drought. He gave him a harvest in a dry season.

4. The Ministry Journey.

We can use the Word of God to break barriers of ministry. Matt. 28:18. All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me… Obey everything that has been commanded to you and surely I’m with you always… The Lord can help us to make a difference and bring souls to Christ, wherever we are.

5. The Troubles of Life Journey.

“In this life you shall have troubles, but be strong, I am with you.” Even in the midst of trouble, you can have a word that will shine in you. Isaiah 54:17. No weapon fashioned against you will prosper. You will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is a heritage of the servants of the Lord.

1 Cor. 19:13 No temptation has taken you… …beyond what you can bear.
Whatever challenges, trials, tribulations that come upon you in your life’s journey are those common to man.

Conclusion

You will overcome your challenges because you have a word that is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Even as you start new journeys, use the strategy of the word of God. God will give you a word that shall be a light to your path. Whether it’s marriage, education, ministry, business or education. God will give you a Rhema word.
