Raising a King

Scriptures: Proverbs 21:1, 1st Peter 2:9, Psalms 91:1-6, 2nd Timothy 3:1-5, Psalms 91:11-12, Revelations 1:5-6

Introduction
*The aim of TJA Sunday School is;
1. To raise a chosen generation
2. To develop a royal priesthood
3. To create a holy nation
4. To nurture a special people
* For the children to attain these attributes their hearts must be worked upon, so that as they take their place in the workplace they will be able to serve in a holy manner as priests.
*According to Psalms 91:1-6 those that dwell under the shadow of the Almighty;
I) They’re delivered from the snares of the fowler
II) They’re not afraid of the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day.
II Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV
[1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: [2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, [4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
* We are living in very perilous times. Our children will only be safe from these pestilences outlined in 2nd Timothy 3:1-5, when they dwell under the shadow of the Almighty. Parents in conjunction with Sunday school teachers must be intentional in teaching them Biblical principles so that they become rooted in God from an early age.
* Youths must equally have the same resolve of walking in the ways of the Lord and seeking Him whether or not their parents brought them to Sunday School.
Conclusion
God having entrusted our children to us as parents means that, we have a great role to play in their lives. It would be a great de-service to the children if we don’t play our godly role as parents. Parents need to go back to the basics and produce and raise Kings who’ll stand up for righteousness and influence the world for Jesus.
