HE EXCELLENT MIND WILL KNOW THE WILL OF GOD

Reference: Romans 12:1-2, Psalms 139:14

Introduction
In our guiding verses we are introduced to the brain and the mind.
The brain is an organ of soft nerves of tissues in the skull. It is the coordinating a d intellectual center. The brain can be seen and it controls a person’s movement, emotions, and various body functions. The brain doesn’t grow.
The mind on the other hand refers to the part of a person that feels, perceives, and reasons. The mind is not tangible and grows and can be changed.

Characteristics of an excellent mind;
1. Excellent minds care about the health of the body.
* The first step of mind renewal is how you take care of your body. 1 Cor 6:1-20
we were bought at a price. Our price was the blood of Jesus. Therefore, our bodies are not meant for sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:13
Our bodies need proper care according to Leviticus 19:28

2. Excellent minds avoid worldly standards. Romans 12:2
*Exposing the mind to the right things and environment contributes to its growth. Romans 23:7
* On the other hand, exposing the mind to the wrong things corrupts it
* God hears our prayers and we must change accordingly.
* The teachings from the church give reasoning.

3. The excellent mind yields to God’s standards. Romans 12:2
* The scripture tells us the mind can be transformed. The agent of change is the environment or people you engage with.
* 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18 tells us if you don’t expose yourself to the right things, then you haven’t done the right thing. Church is a good environment to expose yourself to.

4. The excellent mind positions itself to know the will of God.
* By exposing yourself to the right environment we know the will of God. When one accepts Christ, they get into the family of God. In this kingdom, there’s a king who is God and the constitution that guides the kingdom is the bible.

Conclusion
Expose your mind to the right environment. Choose people who can build you and not break you down.
