Fear Not; I will help you in any way

Introduction
Psalm 23 is a lovely psalm. Many people refer to Psalm 23 because it has a personal touch. It was penned down by David as a way of comfort to himself. He says, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.” David likens the Lord to a shepherd. He uses a metaphorical language to describe God.
He will address your wants and your needs
Help is available even in extravagance. According to studies in economics, ‘wants’ are different from ‘needs’. When you’ve worn a certain dress for some time, you may feel you want to change your wardrobe. This is a want. God is available even to those who are extravagant. He makes me lie down in green pastures… He gives enough even where there is plenty.
He is our Restorer
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. God is available to all. People have different needs. He is available even for our entire being. Restoration of the soul – man is a tripartite being – the body, the soul, the spirit. The soul speaks of the emotional needs – sadness, happiness, the will etc – happen in the soul. The Lord cares for souls that have been beaten up.
People may be in a level of sadness. But God is available even to this category of people. He is available even to those who are sad as well as those that are happy. No matter where you are, the Lord is promising to lift your countenance and help you.
He’s a Friend, closer than a brother
Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Many old people die of loneliness. Children may have gotten married, moved, died, and now you are a lonely person. Your golden years may seem to have gone. The Lord cares for this category too. He cares for, and gives company even to the loneliest.
We all fit in one of the categories that David was mentioning. Only God has the adequacy to ask you to chose whatever you want at his bill.
He’s present in the time of lack
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. In the time of lack, the Lord still promises to be with us. God will bring your enemies around so that he can surprise them with what he can do for you. Prophesy good things about yourself in 2023. God is going to help the poor, the needy, the downcast, the lonely, everybody. He has prepared a table for His people.
He’s forever merciful
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. No problem or disease shall follow you. David says surely goodness and mercy shall follow you _all the days of your life. Not some days, all the days. _ Look at every situation with courage. Be still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Conclusion
These were blessings written not just for David, but for us all. You should not allow your situations define you. Listen to what the Lord says about you. Put fear out of your way.
