    FEAR NOT

    Reference Scriptures: PSALM 46: 1-10

    Introduction

The Lord spoke to us from the beginning of the year that we should not fear. As we face issues this year, you’ll see the hand of God, where you did not expect. Those in business even those who are sick. Fear not I will help you.

We must learn to get excited with the word of God in his house. The table is laid by the Lord and we should ask, what is prepared by him?

This Psalm was written by the sons of Korah. They wrote 11 of them.  They are descendants of Korah who was swallowed by the earth.

    1. They write about the goodness and faithfulness of God. God does not leave us without an example. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. How is it the sons don’t remember what happened to their parents? The children choose to see his goodness and faithfulness. That when we face danger we shall run to the house of the Lord and find shelter.

    2. They say God is our strength.  Strength  is the capacity to withstand great pressure or force. God has the capacity to withstand  pressure that comes against you.  God will become our shield.

. God  is an ever present help in time of need. A refuge can be there but weak.  God says he’s ever there and together with us. Remember this when going through issues. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. When the earth is shaken, it doesn’t matter what you’ve put in place, things will collapse. God remains good in spite of all these.

    4. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. In the middle of all these a river will emerge to refresh us.

    5. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Why are the sons of Korah not scared? There is God in their midst. We can never lack.

    6. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. The things that come directed at you will melt and fade away. You will remain standing.
