Ref: 1 Samuel 19:8-10; 18-24
Introduction
King Saul wanted to pin David to the wall with his spear. David knew that though it did not succeed, it would be a matter of time, so he escaped. He called Samuel and stayed with him at Naioth.
Help in God’s Servants
There is help in the servants of God when you go through difficult moments. Samuel knew they could not stay in his house, so they went to Naioth. It was a meeting place for the prophets, a place where the spirit and the presence of God dwelt. When Saul was informed, he sent well equipped soldiers to pick the two, thinking it was an ordinary place. But a miracle happened. They put their weapons down and started prophesying.
It is likely that they prophesied good things about David. Where the Spirit of God is there is liberty and deliverance. So they prophesied good things about David at Naioth.
Saul Humiliated at Naioth
When Saul finally came, the Spirit of God humiliated him the more, he prophesied as well, all the way to Naioth, to a point he stripped naked and lay there prophesying the whole day and night. A king was humbled at Naioth.
David’s assurance happened at Naioth and the Spirit of God dwelt there. He does the same today in His house. We can find His presence at His dwelling.
Pray in the Spirit
No enemy can thrive at the presence of the Lord. We need a place where we can worship the Lord in the Spirit. Outside the Spirit, He is not there. He disarms the enemy at Naioth. We must find our Naioth, where diseases and challenges are disarmed.
Conclusion
When you pray at Naioth, the enemy cannot survive. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life in its abundance. God is able. It will happen when we release ourselves to God freely.
