Readings: Matthew 14:22-31, Hebrews 5:7
Introduction
*Peter saw Jesus walking on water and he told Jesus if indeed it was Him, He should call him to walk on the water.
*Jesus called him and he walked on the water but after experiencing stormy waters, he was afraid and cried out to the Lord for salvation.
*Jesus reached out to him and saved him, without judgement.
The power in Jesus our Salvation
1. Matt 28:18- He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. The one we cry to has been given authority over everything.
2. 1st Timothy 2:5- He is our mediator and when we call on Him He is just a call away from God
3. Hebrews 4:14-16- He is our High Priest
4. 1st Thessalonians 5:24- He is faithful. Be encouraged that He will always come through for us in difficult situations
5. Hebrews 13:5- He will never leave us nor forsake us
Conclusion
* When you cry out to God, that’s another level of intercession.
Psalms 34:15-17 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
2nd Kings 20:1-5 When Hezekiah was facing eminent death he cried out to the Lord and he was healed.
* When you raise the bar of your prayers and intercession to a level of crying out to the Lord, you will receive your miracle.
