Presbyter James and Pastor Rose Kiganjo
Presbyter (Bishop) James Gakuu Kiganjo is the Senior Pastor of Chrisco Thika Joyful Assembly, and the Presbyter in charge of Central District 1 which has several churches among them Thika, Juja, Kenol, Gatundu, Gatuanyaga, Kiganjo, Maguguni, Maragua, Mwea, Matuu, Kutus, Kimbimbi, Kanderendu and Kimotho
He was among the team of brethren sent from Chrisco Central in Nairobi back in 1988 to pioneer a work in Thika
He got born again in 1981 at Nairobi Pentecostal Church (Currently CITAM Valley Road) and has been walking with the Lord since. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Theology from Pan Africa Christian University, a Master’s Degree in Theology from Africa International University – NEGST and is currently undertaking his Doctorate in Theology from St. Paul’s University.
He is a true shepherd and is known for his diligent teaching, and fatherly heart.
He is also the primary visionary of this work and has grown the church while also founding other congregations in the central region.
An accountant by training and when not at work he loves traveling, he left work in various positions to focus on full-time ministry.
He has been married to Pastor Rose Gathoni Gakuu since 1987, and they are blessed with 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Pastor Rose Gathoni Gakuu
Pastor Rose Gathoni Gakuu is passionate about children, youth and women’s ministry, evangelism, and mental wellness. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from Pan Africa Christian University.
She got born again in 1981 at Kangemi Brethren Fellowship and has been growing in the Lord since that time. She has been involved in mentoring other women leaders across the Central 1 District and was the pioneer of the Embu Chrisco Fellowship where she pastored for 4 years between 2013 and 2017.
