About The Joyful Assembly Choir
The main choir is in charge of leading praise and worship sessions in all our services and others meeting when and if required.
What Inspires our ministry
As the choir we are led by the Scripture in 2 Corinthians 8:5 KJV And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
We first give ourselves to God and then to the ministry. This Scripture has helped us to remain committed to our calling.The whole choir composes of about 25 brethren though 10 to 15 are the ones readily available. We thank God for all of us and what we offer to the body of Jesus Christ.We meet three times a week for practice and to prepare on songs to minister on Sunday. we would say this is the most active department in the church.
Choir with a Vision
We also have The Choir with a Vision which is a singing group where we give our sisters and brothers who may not be able to participate in other departments or ministries for one reason or the other a chance to minister through this team. They have blessed our hearts all through and we thank God for them.
Our Weekly Meetings
To help us meet our ministry purposes, we meet three times a week in the evening to plan for Sunday, pray together and practice the songs. We also arrange for Keshas where we meet and pray and also learn new songs. We also organise for retreats to strengthen our bonds one with the other. We participate together with the national choir during our Move on Conventions.
